Who gets a save the date?
The easy answer: everyone you’re inviting to your wedding. Some people think they only have to send save-the-dates to out-of-town guests who need more time to plan, but that could cause a sticky situation if your guests talk to each other and realize some of them have received save the dates while others haven’t, making them wonder if they’re invited at all. Just send them to everyone you’re going to invite. Yes, that means that you have to have the guest list nailed down as far as a year before the wedding. That’s one of the reasons guest list should be one of the first wedding tasks you tackle.
