Can you put your wedding website on your invitation?
You shouldn’t put your wedding website on the actual invitation to the ceremony or reception. A website address just never looks right on an invitation. The wording and structure of a wedding invitation is so firmly rooted in tradition, carefully balanced, and filled with meaning in each line, and websites just don’t fit into the carefully orchestrated design.
You may, however, put your wedding website address on a separate enclosed card, or with other information on a general “Details” enclosure. You may also put the wedding website on your save the dates. Since save the dates are not as firmly rooted in tradition, there is more leniency in their design and wording, and a small website address would not be out of place. However you include the website address, make sure to write it as simply as possible – preferable www.maryandjohn.com or maryandjohn.com. You could also just pass the address around informally, by word of mouth, and have your friends and family do the same.
